Uniting Friends took its first ever cruise last week to the Christmas markets of Belgium.
Everyone loved the trip including a formal dinner seated at the captain's table. Everyone looked really smart! After dinner we joined in a music quiz and won a bottle of bubbly.
The Christmas markets were magical with stalls selling Bratwurst, mulled wine, chocolates and lots of gifts to take home. With all the twinkly lights and live music, it felt very festive.
A big thank you to everyone who took part in the annual UF fundraising quiz last Saturday. As ever it was a fun filled evening with a particularly great music round sing-a-long!
We raised a wonderful £1875 which will help us continue to provide our vital services into 2018!
Special thanks to everyone who donated items for the raffle and the auction.
From next Monday 9th November, we are opening a temporary shop selling merchandise made by our members for the public to purchase in the run up to Christmas.
The shop will sell a unique range of items grown and made at the Uniting Friends project including goods made at our creative arts centre and grown on our organic allotment. Items on sale include a range of unique toiletries which have just won an award “from using nature in an innovative way” by City Bridge Trust.
Also on sale will also be a selection of greeting cards, signed framed prints, wreaths, plants and more, all made and sold by our members.
The shop operates 11am-4pm Monday-Friday until 15th December at Uniting Friends, 92 Beehive Lane, IG4 5EG.
