Our members have heard a lot of worrying things about the police - in particular London’s Metropolitan Police. In recent news, Sir Mark Rowley, the highest boss of the Met, says that he needs more powers to get rid of the bad officers.

We discussed convicted police officers and the crimes they have committed. The group also shared their own experiences of their local police, specifically as vulnerable adults (7 times more likely to have an encounter with the police!).

Do we know our rights if stopped and searched or arrested? Should we carry an Autism Alert Card? Do we need personal alarms? What needs to change?
